I started hand quilting the tropical flowers tonight. I am outlining the applique and doing diagonal lines in the background. It's nothing fancy, but it's a lot of stitches. It will take a few days to get good calluses.
Mine do, but it takes a couple weeks. I have to check out more thimble styles, I've never found one that fits very well, so I just don't use one, but I should. It would limit the amount of blood on the fabric, LOL.
my calluses never seem to build up - just a lot of pricked fingertips!!
